"Nature of The Vistula River and Kampinos Forest"
Kampinos - big complex of forest with houndreds years old tree stands, swamps, with black storks, lynxes and elks living just few kilometers from Polish capitol.
And Vistula - probably the last huge European, lowland river preserved on pretty natural shape, ruled by centuries-old natural processes. Tortuous, unregulated banks, old river beds, sandy islands mowing with the river stream with breeding colonies of hundreds of gulls and terns.
Grzegorz Okołów is director of the Education Centre in the Kampinoski National Park and will give a passionate presentation about his park. He grew up in the famous Białowieża National Park (primal forest with wisents) where his father was the manager. In 2004 together with Tomasz Hryniewicki he published a book with many photos about the nature of Kampinos: 'Echo of Mazovian Forest'.
In addition more information at the page for our international guest Ireneusz Graff, the president of the Polish Nature Photographers' Union ZPFP.
