In nature's tracks

An ‘imaginary’ discovery journey through the Belgian Limburg, culminating at the National Park “Hoge Kempen”. Images of vast heath lands and woods, rivers, bubbling brooks, marshes and fens, intertwined with pictures of plants and animals give an impression of one of Flanders provinces most rich in nature. This presentation is a tribute to all people that volunteer to work for the preservation of these attractive landscapes and experienceable nature areas … for the present and the future. It is a signal to the world that even in our affluent and urbanized Flanders there is a role for nature conservation to preserve nature and ourselves.

Erwin Christis: "Nature fascinates me as long as I can remember. Therefore I see it as a special challenge to surprise people with the beauty of our local nature, close to home, hoping that this will bring them to appreciation. It is a privilege to work for an organization at the crossroads of nature conservation, landscape care and eco tourism and to combine that with my passion for photography: a constant fascination for light in pursuit of the power of the moment.".
