Iceland - Frá ímyndun til veruleika

Iceland’s location in the middle of the Atlantic, just south of the polar circle, puts it half way Europe and America. Smoking lava fields, colorful plaines and mountain slopes, boiling mud and water pools are witnesses of the volcanic activity. Even some of the ice covered mountains are active volcanoes where the melting glaciers feed fierce torrents that thunder down countless falls towards the sea. Iceland, natures master piece.

About Jan Roofthooft: Jan’s first foreign journey was at age 42, when he undertook a series of mountain hikes. His experience with snow and ice led him to undertake more trips to higher latitudes: Svalbard, Alaska, Poland, and others, but his favorite country remains Iceland.
